Rajesh Chauhan: Hi! I am Rajesh Chauhan and I am the founder and CEO of GoogieHost. It is a free web Hosting Company. I have completed my Bachelors in Computer Applications (B.C.A) from Sikkim Manipal University in 2014.
I live in Lucknow and I have tried my hands on a variety of things, Blogging, SEO and Digital Marketing are a few of them, I have been running GoogieHost since 2012.
Aman Singh: Hello, My name is Aman Singh and I have been working with Rajesh Sir since 2017. I am currently pursuing B.A. I also stay in Lucknow and I am a rising Youngest Digital Marketer from Lucknow India.
How did you get your idea or concept for the business?
Rajesh Chauhan: (Smiling) Well, this is a bit tricky question. There was no such prepared plan for establishing a web hosting company. It all happened eventually. A few years back when I was a college student I realized the hardships of being financially dependent on family and asking them to fulfill your expenses.
Eventually, I came across blogging as a career option, but the struggle continued. Those days hosting was very expensive it was a challenge for every newbie blogger to purchase hosting for their website. Then my conscience suddenly struck me. Why can’t free hosting be provided? I worked on my instincts to help all those struggling individuals who wanted to start blogging as their career but were unable to do so because of high hosting expenses.
It was then in 2012 when I established GoogieHost with the sole motive of providing free hosting and Domain to beginners.
Within few years, GoogieHost became one of the most dominating web Hosting companies in India. All thanks to the love, people showed to GoogieHost! (Smiles).
What challenges did you face as a new entrepreneur?
Rajesh Chauhan: The journey was a bumpy ride, I had to face new obstacles every day, but the biggest challenge was financial issues. Since I was also new in this field, the financial crisis was the biggest speed breaker for me.
I also failed my 10+2 twice. Believe it or not, I worked in a call center for about a year and also as a website developer in another company for two years,
My health was not keeping up good terms with me and I had to leave my job after my boss rejected my pleadings for sick leave. All this made things difficult but not impossible!
How has the tech industry helped or hindered your business?
Rajesh Chauhan: Technology was always a boon for me, it is all because of the tech industry that I have successfully established GoogieHost which is helping individuals to follow their dream of becoming successful bloggers.
Aman Singh: I also think the same, thanks to the tech industry for existing. It helped me a lot to become who I am today.
How did you come up with the name for your company?
Both (Chuckling): The name was not predecided. When GoogieHost was being established, people were new to the internet, at that time all we knew was Google. As a part of thinking the right name, GoogieHost suddenly clicked our minds and here we are! (Laughing)
What kind of culture exists in your organization, and how did you establish it?
Rajesh Chauhan: Nobody likes to work under pressure. The kind of work that we are indulged in requires our brain to be calm. So, It is obvious that a friendly environment is what we all prefer.
Aman Singh: Sir is absolutely right! We can’t work in a bossy environment where we have the phobia of a higher authority above us. Here at GoogieHost, we have a relaxed atmosphere, that allows us to work freely.
What motivates you?
Rajesh Chauhan: The need for helping all those innovative minds who want to be financially independent motivates to not to stop. GoogieHost was not a source of income for us, rather it was a way to help all those budding entrepreneurs who want to become successful bloggers someday.
Aman Singh: I prefer challenging myself every day, this zeal of becoming better each day, motivates me.
What are your ideals?
Rajesh and Aman: We believe every person we ever met or the ones we live with are our ideals. Learning is a never-ending process, every person has some quality that we want to imbibe.
How do you define success?
Both: Success is a journey, not a destination. There is no end to it. The more we have the more we want to achieve.
If you could describe being an entrepreneur in one sentence, what would it be?
Aman Singh: Well, it’s not as easy as pie! Entrepreneurship takes a lot more than just bearing risks. Investing in the right amount of knowledge and time in the right thing, and then consistently working for the desired results is what makes you a real entrepreneur.
What key activities would you recommend entrepreneurs invest their time in?
Rajesh and Aman: We will recommend the budding entrepreneurs invest their time in creating self-worth. Rather than giving the whole weightage to the success of the project, they must invest their time in self-grooming and development as well.
Surely, they can read stories of successful entrepreneurs, but we think your mistakes teach you more than the life history of eminent personalities.

Rajesh and Aman: ( Laughing) Quite interesting question. Well, yeah let’s not reveal the exact incomes but we can surely tell the figures in which we earn.
