Dr. S.K Burman started with mission to distribute health care products in Calcutta, West Bengal in 1884. He has started the business in his own house and initially he use to make medicines for diseases like malaria, cholera and constipation. Dabur crossed the mark of valuation of $5 billion in the year 2013.

The name Dabur of the brand is the devnagari extract of the name ‘Da’ from Daktar and ‘Bur’ from Burman.

Approximately, 8% of the current FMCG Market is owned by Brand Dabur. The official statement by the CEO of Dabur, Mohit Malhotra, was ‘We continue to invest ahead of the curve in expanding our rural footprint. We have expanded our rural coverage by 16%, from 60,000 villages at the end of 2020-21 to 69,000 villages in Q1, 2021-21. We plan to further expand it by 33% to 80,000 villages over the next 2 years.”

Campaigns of Brand – Dabur

The campaign called ”Shuddhata Sabke Liye‘ was launched in the year 2021 to create awareness about on International Day of Persons. While in the times of coronavirus, Everyone was getting vaccines to have a strength to combat coronavirus, Dabur has claimed that with just two spoons of Chyawanprash daily, can protect all people against chyawanprash.
