IT Companies to Cover Covid-19 Vaccination costs for Indian Employees and Their Families

The world’s largest covid vaccination drive-in India is continuing rapidly with the boom and now people apart from health workers are also getting vaccinated. The country’s IT giant Infosys, TCS Capgemini and Accenture have announced a huge step that it will provide vaccine to all its employees and their employees in India and will bear the expenses. The world’s largest corona vaccination program has started in India on January 16. However, in the first phase, health workers and frontline workers were vaccinated.

Infosys COO Praveen Rao said that the company is exploring the possibility of partnering with Healthcare Providers to supply the Covid-19 vaccine to its employees and their families. He also said that he would get his employees and his family to get Corona vaccinated for free and the company would bear the expenses of the vaccine. Rekha Menon, India chairperson of software consulting firm Accenture, has also said that the company will bear the entire expenses of the vaccine expenses of its employees and their families. The company has more than 2 lakh employees in India. Apart from this, Mahindra Group and ITC also said that they will bear the entire cost of the Covid 19 vaccine of their employees on their own.

Capgemini has issued a statement saying that the health of their employees is most crucial for them, in such a situation, they will distribute the vaccine charges to all eligible personnel and their families according to the protocol set by the government. The Chief Executive Officer (India) of Capgemini, Ashwin Aardi, says that the employees and their families under the company’s medical benefits program will benefit from it. Capgemini has joined hands with Wellness Partners for this vaccination drive.

The corona vaccine is free in government hospitals. So in private hospitals, the price of the COVID vaccine has been kept at Rs 250. In which there is a cost of Rs 150 vaccine and 100 rupees a depressive charge. The major IT companies in India are making their employees work from home till the end of this year. Whereas some companies like Google and Twitter have given the option to their employees to work from home for a lifetime.
