PhysicsWallah, which is an Edtech unicorn, has started providing tests for the preparation of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering examinations to the students who are looking forward to studying post graduation.

PhysicsWallah, which was started in the year 2020 by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, is an online education platform that provides courses and content material for students who are studying for engineering and medical entrance examinations. The platform has interactive material in the form of lectures and audio which helps students grasp the concepts easily and also at cheaper rates from the comfort of their homes.
Entering PG Test Prep Market
PhysicsWallah is a privately held company and is valued at approximately $1 billion. The company has seen a major funding crunch and a decrease in valuation when offline educational institutions reopened. Recently, PhysicsWallah, a unicorn startup, acquired a Jaipur-based company, FreeCo, which is a doubt-solving and resource management startup. The amount of acquisition was not disclosed.
Several companies have started mass layoffs in the quest of reducing the costs to the company but PhysicsWallah is doing good. They have entered the new market of Test Preparations for the students who are preparing for GATE.
A new vertical, GATE Wallah has been designed by the company through which they would provide quality courses to engineering candidates. A new team named, DRONA, has been made which comprises of 32 educators from various cities in India to lead this new program.

‘The company has been serving undergraduate categories and is producing remarkable results; with this new endeavor of ours, we will be empowering the graduates too. The undergraduate students who have been associated with PW for a long time requested us to launch programs in PG categories, so we are starting with GATE,’ This was stated by one of the founders of the online Education platform, Alakh Pandey.
